Our client is seeking an experienced Generator Technician / Industrial Electrician to join the Port Elizabeth team,

Performroutine preventative maintenance (oil changes, filterreplacements, cooling system flushes) on diesel and petrol generators
Troubleshoot complex mechanical andelectrical faults, including engine controllers, AVRs (Automatic VoltageRegulators), and fuel systems
Conduct minor engine overhauls and componentreplacements
Assist in the positioning, wiring, andcommissioning of new power units and Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS)
Perform load bank testing to ensure systemsoperate within specified parameters under stress
Maintain accurate digital logs of servicehistory, parts used, and site conditions

Grade12
TradeTested Electrician
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience ingenerator mechanics or industrial electrical systems
Strong understanding of diesel enginemechanics and AC/DC electrical theory
Familiarity with controllers such as Deep-SeaElectronics (DSE), ComAp, or Lovato
In-depth knowledge of health and safetyprotocols regarding high-voltage equipment and fuel handling
Valid Code EB (or higher) license isessential for site visits
Availability for an on-call rotation tohandle after-hours emergency repairs
Candidate must reside in the Port Elizabeth / Uitenhage area
